The values are located in either the .IR pkginfo (5) file for \fIpkginst\fR or from the specific file named with the \fB\-f\fR option. .PP One parameter value is shown per line. Only the value of a parameter is given unless the \fB\-v\fR option is used. With this option, the output of the command is in this format: .PP .RS .nf \fIparameter1\fR\fB='\fR\fIvalue1\fR\fB'\fR \fIparameter2\fR\fB='\fR\fIvalue2\fR\fB'\fR \fIparameter3\fR\fB='\fR\fIvalue3\fR\fB'\fR .fi .RE .PP If no parameters are specified on the command line, values for all parameters associated with the package are shown. .PP Options and arguments for this command are: .TP 13 \fB\-d\fR\fI device\fR Specify the \fIdevice\fR on which a \fIpkginst\fR is stored. It can be a directory pathname or the identifiers for tape, floppy disk, or removable disk (for example, \fB/var/tmp\fR, \fB/dev/diskette\fR, and \fB/dev/dsk/c1d0s0\fR). The special token \fBspool\fR may be used to represent the default installation spool directory (\fB/var/spool/pkg\fR). .TP \fB\-f\fR\fI filename\fR Read \fIfilename\fR for parameter values. .TP \fB\-R\fR\fI root_path\fR Defines the full path name of a subdirectory to use as the \fIroot_path\fR. All files, including package system information files, are relocated to a directory tree starting in the specified \fIroot_path\fR. .TP .B \-v Verbose mode. Display name of parameter and its value. .TP \fB\fIpkginst\fR Defines a specific package instance for which parameter values should be displayed. .TP \fB\fIparam\fR Defines a specific parameter whose value should be displayed. .PP If parameter information is not available for the indicated package, the command exits with a non-zero status. .SH SEE ALSO .IR pkgmk (1), .IR pkgproto (1), .IR pkgtrans (1), .IR pkginfo (5) .SH NOTES With the \fB\-f\fR option, you can specify the file from which parameter values should be extracted. This file should be in the same format as a .IR pkginfo (4) file. For example, such a file might be created during package development and used while testing software during this stage.
